The Love of God (حبّ الله)

If you have tasted a pinch of Allah's love, seen the presence of the Messenger, and experienced the wonders of the Almighty's power, what else would you want from this world? What fear is left in your heart, other than losing His Love?

If every heartbreak you experienced, every tear you shed, those dark moments that you thought led to nowhere, were a direction to Allah. Don't you crave that moment? Don't you miss being helpless? Don't you miss holding onto none other than Allah?

My only fear is to be so involved in this world and forgotten about the Creator of the world. The fear of being 'full of oneself. The fear of being self-sufficient without His Help. The fear of being able to do anything without running back to Him. That fear. The fear of being unable to shed a tear, the fear of the heart getting hardened by never-ending desires. 

What good is the world when it does not bring us nearer to the Lord of the world?

And Allah said in the Quran: Surah Al Hashr:19

وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ كَٱلَّذِينَ نَسُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ فَأَنسَىٰهُمْ أَنفُسَهُمْ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَـٰسِقُونَ

and be not like those who are oblivious of God, and whom He therefore causes to be oblivious of [what is good for] their own selves: [for] it is they, they who are truly depraved

O Allah, may You protect us from ourselves. 

Yes, protect us from us. Protect us from forgetting You.

Hold our hands and guide us in our journey.
