In the present world filled with violence and hate, may we become the Love that is needed. May we be the desired source of Hope. May we illuminate the darkness with our presence and soften hardened hearts with our words. May our energy ignite the weary spirit. May we embody peace by gracefully moving through each moment of suffering in a harmonious dance. The world needs love, not more harm.

How do you become the Love?

The love that has no desire of being loved. The love that wants nothing in return. The love that seeks the best of others. The love that craves for a higher acknowledgement. The love that wants nothing from His Creations. That deep love every desperate soul wants to be with, yet can never attain it. How do you be the Love?

In an authentic book, Riyadhus Soliheen, Prophet Dawood(‘Alaihi salaam) has taught us a prayer, a prayer about love. Let’s elaborate this prayer in detail. A prayer that I personally make every single day. A prayer that I hold on to. A prayer that I will not miss saying it, in fear that it will be taken away from me. Prophet Dawood said “

اللهم إني أسألك حبك، وحب من يحبك، والعمل الذي يبلغني حبك، اللهم اجعل حبك أحب إلى من نفسي، وأهلي، ومن الماء البارد‏"‏‏

O Allah! I ask You for Your Love, the love of those who love You, and deeds which will cause me to attain Your Love. O Allah! Make Your Love dearer to me than myself, my family and the cold water)

  1. Asking Allah for His Love and The Importance of Seeking His Love There is no better Love than the Love of Allah. The Love of the Creator towards His Creations. The most perfect Love, from the AlWadood, ArRaheem, AlGhafur, AlHakeem, AlWadood (The Most Loving) When we are deemed undeserving of love due to our appearance or thoughts. Unworthy to love due to lack of wealth or societal status. There is no point in loving us, given our lack of education. Not conforming enough for society to embrace us. The All-Powerful Most Compassionate loves us just as we are. Love us for the most unattractive part of our beings. Despite our flaws and imperfections. However, the Most Loving will continue to love us, Because, “ Certainly Allah does not look at your physique nor at your faces; Rather He looks at your hearts and your actions” So, be free o little Soul. Be Free from people’s perceptions. Free yourself from what others want from you, and focus on what Allah has already planned for you. Love Him and Seek His Love.

To be loved by the Ar Raheem (The Merciful) Humans adore us when we are flawless, but become bothered when they notice our imperfections. They usually dislike having to deal with the additional challenges we impose on them. They are not interested in contending with us, they are already dealing with plenty in their day-to-day responsibilities. Being loved by the Ar Raheem comes with a unique set of experiences. His servants always receive His Mercy. The Most Merciful provides us with a place to truly be ourselves. Understanding His infinite mercy eases our minds from the pressure of seeking perfection. Allah is the space we require, for us to breathe and function normally. To be ourselves in taking chances in our decisions, without having to worry if the results are positive or negative. Even when things aren't going well, Allah is consistently available to forgive us because He is The Most Merciful.

To be loved by the Al Ghafur (The Most Forgiving) Marriage has taught me personally that a quality of love depends on the depth of forgiveness. As humans, it is only fair to establish boundaries to prevent further pain. However, Allah, who is The Most Forgiving, is always ready for us to slip up. Always ready for us to repent and return to Him with remorse. He is The sole location where we can act as ourselves without facing criticism. And with The Alimighty’s Love, Allah The Most Forgiving, we know, that we can run to Him when things goes wrong. We can cry to Him when things do not go as planned. We can scream our hearts when we hate ourselves, Yes, hate ourselves for even trying to explore the things He does not allow. For being stupid and not listening to Him. Allah is always there, waiting for our return.

  2. To Ask Allah the Love of those who Loves Him To be loved by people who love Allah is the highest form of wealth. When the ultimate goal is to meet Allah, we require individuals who have a deeper understanding of Allah than we currently possess. We require individuals who consistently mention Allah to serve as our reminder in this busy world. A strong friendship is necessary to guide us in doing what is right and to have patience in the process.

The most costly thing in the world is a marriage, friendship, or relationship founded on His Love. It is impossible to purchase the heart of a man of God. You will never be able to lure them in with your money or status, no matter what. Maybe with what you know. However, your heart will be the most appealing aspect about you. The more you are deeply connected to Allah's love, the more appealing you will appear to those who love God. Be so involved in Allah, that no one can penetrate your heart except when he seeks it through Allah. May our hearts crave so Much of His Love, that He opens up our hearts only towards those who He sees worthy of His Love. (Yaaa Rabb!)

  3. The love of the Deeds that are loved by Allah Understanding how Allah will love us is crucial. Apart from the obligatory 5 daily prayers, what other actions can lead us to gaining Allah's love?

Is it charity? Or, Could it be aiding those who require assistance? Perhaps teaching the Quran? What else can we do to earn Allah's love? We pray for Allah's help in developing a love for what He desires from us. To guide our hearts in falling in love with the Deeds that are loved by Allah. The deeds that will save us in this temporary world and the obstacles of Aakhirah. May our deeds weigh heavy in the scales of hereafter. May it be a witness that we are doing it solely for Allah’s love. Nothing more than purely to be loved by Allah.

It is only after achieving all of the aforementioned qualities, then we can offer the Love to every longing soul. At that moment, we can embody the Love, Hope, Peace, and Harmony that is cherished by numerous individuals.

By reciting this Du’a daily, affirms our hearts that we are able to go through any obstacles set by Allah. Any trials that He gives us, only brings us closer to Him. In return, every difficult point in marriage, becomes a reason to love Allah better. Every hiccups we face with our business partner, becomes a problem that we look upon. Not that we love problems, but, we love having a reason to run back to Allah. We love to have a stop sign from being too comfortable in this Dunya, a halt, to breathe and return back to the All Knoweth. To have some time with the Most Wise and feeling rejuvenated every time, under His Care and Love

In search of His Love, we have freed our soul. A soul that will never serve without a purpose. A soul that is so strong, it attracts. Yet it is not attracted. Only when the soul craves for the attention of Lord of Love.
